Many people are finding that a garage at the back of the house is more desirable for cosmetic and security reasons. No unsightly garage door can be seen from the street. Cars parked behind the house instead of near the street are much less likely to be targeted by thieves and vandals. The garage can also be rear loaded for lots with an alley behind the house.
